DF7TV's notes on SoftRock RXTX experiments
Submitted by DF7TV on Sun, 03/28/2010 - 06:14.This blog will show some experiments around the two SoftRock RXTX ( Ref. [1], [2]) built so far. A SI570 oscillator (Ref. [3]) and an Elecraft T1 ATU (automatc antenna match box) (Ref. [4]) were also built and wait for their application to the SoftRock RXTXs. So this blog will show some modifications of SoftRock RXTXs and the addition of some accessories. If everything goes well I would like to end up with a multi-band transceiver :)
Practical tests will be done at our local clubstation DK0SU and sure -- I would like to meet other "SoftRockers" on the air.

DF7TV's notes on SI570/PICAXE experiments
Submitted by DF7TV on Sat, 04/12/2008 - 04:47.This is a blog to document some of the experiments of DF7TV using the programmable crystal oscillator SI570 from Silicon Laboratories controlled by a PICAXE processor 28X1 from Revolution Education Ltd. The main components of the circuit "SRC11" are the SI570 DCO on a board made by David, WB6DHW, a PICAXE microprocessor 28X1, a Microchip I2C-EEPROM 24LC256(32kByte) and a (serially controlled) LCD.
DF7TV's notes on RXTXv6.2 - 20m/30m
Submitted by DF7TV on Sat, 04/12/2008 - 03:03.The assembly of the RXTXv6.2 - 20m/30m transceiver kit made by Tony, KB9YIG is the subject of this blog. Acquiring the needed informations, doing the inventory and populating the circuit board of the circuit are described by DF7TV. The N2PK daughter board here replaces the original oscillator circuit of the RXTXv6.2 circuit board. This blog only reflects the way I built the kit. Pease note also that my kit will be modified to include the 17m band as well during its initial assembly [see section 2.)]. For your own assembly of the RXTXv6.2 - 20m/30m always use the official (and up-to-date) builder notes supplied by Tony, KB9YIG.

Manuals related to the RXTXv6.2 - 20m/30m kit may be downloaded from the "Files" section of the "softrock40" Yahoo group. Look for the "/RXTXv6.2 files/RXTXv6.2 20m_30m files" folder. The schematic of November 6, 2007 and the bill of materials of November, 24, 2007 are used for this assembly. The schematic of the 20m/30m Daughter Board (by N2PK) used shows the date November 19, 2007 at its legend.
DF7TV's notes on RXTXv6.2 - 40m/30m
Submitted by DF7TV on Tue, 09/04/2007 - 12:05.This blog documents the assembly and the testing of a SoftRock RXTXv6.2 - 40m/30m kit by DF7TV from September to November 2007. Please note that it reflects only the way I built my kit -- for your own assembly you should follow the official "builder notes" provided by Tony, KB9YIG for your kit. There also is a related discussion group at yahoogroups called "softrock40".
Some further information about the kit built by DF7TV is available from other sites (please be patient -- the download from my site at QSL.NET may be very slow):
