Dear Anyone, I want to understand more about the $60 sdr transceiver platform. Sent these questions to Tony on the contact page of his site but no reply. Also neither email contact nor specs page anywhere. Admin: please remove if not for blog space. I would like to understand the following: 1.Does the hardware work with software like GNU radio? 2.Does the platform have an API? Open source? 3.What is the bit length of I/Q? 4.Can I / Q be parsed into bins for later processing with software like GNU radio? 5.What waveforms can be programmed on the platform? 6.For Rx (hardware), what are sensitivity, loss, and noise? 7.For Tx (hardware), what is loss, noise? 8.For Tx/Rx what is isolation between two? 9.At ADC/DAC entry/exit, what is the voltage? If Tx signal generated, what is strength? 10. As sound card being used, the bandwidth will be limited to 20KHz? At what stage is the down/up conversion done? Wouldn’t the decimation take place after the down conversion(after digital conversion)? 11.Is there any filtering done (anti aliasing or other)? If yes, where in the chain on device? Filter insertion loss (db)? 12.Is there any processing done on the host computer? 13.How does the Tx stage work? A numeric is created to reflect the real signal, then it is mixed to get I & Q. These are then piped to digital upconvertor on platform and then to antenna? 14.Is there a way to loop back a signal without antenna to test a signal block? 15.Can the platform tx and rx at same time? If not, what is the switching time? 16.How is the USB platform connected to antenna? Impedance? Thanks Nitin
